Located in Munteni village (Bihor), Sturzul Negru is a modest yet modern cabin, designed as an observatory in the midst of the mountains. Through the large windows, the walls disappear before the ancient forest, offering you an immersive experience in the heart of the Bihor Mountains.
It's the perfect refuge if you're seeking a balance between essential comfort and simplicity. Choose this location to disconnect from the city's hustle and experience an authentic reconnection with nature, where peace and landscape are all that matter.
Here you'll find absolute tranquility, interrupted only by the sounds of the rich wildlife in the area. It's the ideal location for those who value isolation and want to reconnect with nature.
The modest yet contemporary design emphasizes the spectacular landscape that unfolds through the large windows. After a day spent on the mountain trails nearby, you can relax in the wood-fired hot tub (firewood is included, and heating the water is done by guests, taking between 3 and 6 hours).
The cabin offers you absolute peace and the perfect setting for adventure or rest.
The two bedrooms are located upstairs, each with separate outdoor access via external wooden stairs.
The cabin has one bathroom, located on the ground floor, with direct access from the living room.
If you're looking for opulence, we might not be the right place. We designed this cabin for those who love raw nature and simplicity. It's a return to the classic idea of a mountain shelter, about the essence of old-fashioned vacations: a modest but warm place, where the focus is on the landscape, not on décor details.
Important:
The access road is fully paved, except for the last ~100 meters (easily accessible gravel road), crossing a small stream without difficulty.
Since we are in the heart of the mountain, tap water is NOT drinkable. We provide bottled water upon arrival, but please bring your own supply depending on your stay duration.
Valea Iadului: Iadolina Waterfall and Săritoarea Ieduțului (the most spectacular in the area).
Piatra Bulzului: Panoramic viewpoint over the entire valley.
Șuncuiuș & Vadu Crișului: Caves, via ferrata, and rafting on Crișul Repede.
